What MIG welding is used for

From cut parts to welded assembly
A MIG-welded fabrication may begin with laser-cut profiles, folded sheet or prepared sections. Those parts then need to be positioned, joined and checked as an assembly. Where the job includes brackets, frames, hoppers, supports or other formed components, showing the full assembly on the enquiry is far more useful than sending each piece separately.
If important dimensions must be held after welding, identify them clearly on the drawing. Welding introduces heat, so critical interfaces and mating dimensions need to be understood as part of the fabrication requirement.
