Why Zeus puts stainless TIG at the centre of the offer

TIG welding gives close control over the weld pool and is particularly well suited to stainless fabrication where joint quality, heat control and final appearance matter. Zeus brings 30+ years of hands-on fabrication and welding experience to this type of work.

For a customer, the important question is not simply “Do I need TIG?” but what the finished component must look like, fit like and do in service. Zeus can consider the welds together with the cut parts, bends, joints and final finish rather than treating welding as an isolated operation.

Typical stainless TIG enquiries

Typical enquiries include stainless sheet-metal assemblies, pipe and tubular details, hoppers, transitions, vessel-style components, formed parts and polished fabrications where the welded joint or surrounding finish matters. The process and joint still depend on the drawing, material, section thickness and specification.

If a welded fabrication needs to connect to an existing item, include photographs or drawings of the mating part. That helps identify important dimensions and reduces the risk of quoting a component that cannot be checked properly at the interface.

Stainless TIG welding and fabrication

Stainless is a core specialism rather than an add-on service. Zeus can review the complete stainless requirement — cut and formed sheet, TIG-welded joints, fabricated details and the final brushed, satin or polished appearance. Include the stainless grade where known and identify any visible faces or finish-matching requirements.

Weld appearance and finishing

Where appearance matters, say so at quotation stage. A weld that will be dressed, polished or left visible may need a different approach from a joint where appearance is secondary. If you have a finish sample or reference photograph, attach it with the enquiry.

Likewise, if the fabrication will be polished after welding, include that requirement from the beginning so welding, access and finishing can be considered together.

TIG welding as part of a complete fabrication

A welded part often starts as cut and folded sheet. It may then need additional brackets, flanges, machined details or polishing. Sending the complete drawing allows those stages to be planned together and gives a clearer basis for quotation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between TIG and MIG welding?

TIG gives the welder very fine control of the arc and filler addition, while MIG feeds wire continuously through the torch. The best choice depends on the material, joint, section size, production requirement and desired finish.

Can I send a sample part for a TIG welding enquiry?

Yes. An existing component can be useful where a replacement or matching fabrication is required. Include dimensions and photographs where possible.

Can TIG welding be quoted with bending and fabrication?

Yes. Sending the complete component or assembly drawing is usually the best way to quote a job that combines formed sheet, welding and finishing.
